2009 Winter Hitting League Ages 6-18 Begins January 10th


The 2009 Winter Hitting League for ages 6-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-18 is set to begin January 10. The league will run for eight weeks every Saturday through February 28.. The league will run for eight weeks through November 1. The younger age groups will consist of four players competing for a team. Each player will receive six pitches per inning against the pitching machine and depending on the result of the hit you will be awarded with a point total. The team with the highest total of runs will be awarded the winning team. We will tally the records for each team through the eight week league to determine the winning team of the league.

The games will be 7 inning contests or 55 minute time limit. The hitting league is a great way for your players to practice hitting through the fall and compete with their fellow friends and teammates. Cost is $65 for individual players or $235 for a team of four.

AGES 15-18 WILL COMPETE WITH SIX PLAYERS AND WILL HAVE ACTUAL PITCHERS THROWING AND CATCHERS WITH CATCHING GEAR CALLING THE GAME. GAMES WILL LAST 7 INNINGS OR 85 MINUTES. THE UMPIRE WILL CALL BALLS AND STRIKES AND AWARD THE HITTER BASED ON WHERE THE BALL IS HIT. TEAMS SHOULD CARRY AT LEAST THREE PITCHERS AND ONE CATCHER. COST IS $95 FOR INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS OR $395 FOR TEAM OF SIX.
